ACCIO GROUP PROVIDES SAINSBURY'S WITH EUROPE'S LARGEST TEMPORARY STRUCTURE OF ITS KIND
Accio Group, one of the UK's leading suppliers of temporary structures, has helped Sainsbury's to keep trading by providing the supermarket chain with Europe's largest temporary structure constructed on a deck platform.
The 15,069 square foot retail space is being used while the main store in High Wycombe is undergoing a rebuild as part of Sainsbury's nationwide redevelopment programme.
The temporary store has been very well received by Sainsbury's High Wycombe customers and during a recent survey it scored a top five ranking out of 800 nationwide for customer satisfaction.
The project was made even more difficult by the requirement to erect the structure 2m above an existing car-park. This involved the construction of a deck platform, a task that the Accio Group team particularly relished.
Over the past 18 months Accio Group has also supported Sainsbury's by working hand-in-hand with its construction and delivery team to deliver a diverse range of temporary facilities. This has included cafés, retail extensions, storage and trolley bay areas. Impressively, all projects were delivered on time and on budget, particularly important in the current financial climate.
And the support provided to Sainsbury's also extends to some of its store car parks. Accio Group was responsible for the delivery and erection of the impressive Condek GRP parking systems at both the Brentwood and Chelmsford stores.
Stephen Casey, Managing Director at Accio Group, commented: "This project posed an exciting challenge and we had to draw on all our retail sector experience to deliver it on time and on budget. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Sainsbury's and the systems they chose illustrate their willingness to embrace new technologies in all aspects of their developments.
"We were delighted with both the result and feedback given to us by Sainsbury's and we look forward to a successful future together."
Richard Rust, Head of Delivery and Construction at Sainsbury's, added: "We are committed to providing the best possible shopping experience to our customers and our temporary stores must also reach our exacting standards. We have worked closely with Accio Group on a number of projects and once again they have delivered an outstanding retail space.
"We could not be happier with the results, and neither could our customers, who recently voted the temporary High Wycombe store in the top five out of 800 nationwide for customer satisfaction."
